Railway

Bolloré Africa Logistics operates the Camrail and Sitarail rail concessions. Essential to the development of the countries it crosses, the railway is a competitive transport tool that helps export agricultural products (cotton, sesame, cashew and wood) and supply the national economies (hydrocarbons, fertilisers, construction materials, everyday consumer goods).
It is directly connected to the industrial and port infrastructures, and represents a real opportunity to facilitate the traffic flow of goods and decongest urban areas, thanks to its high carrying capacity. Our networks' daily long-distance and intercity services encourage the mobility of people and their food crops, and promote the development of local economic activities. Our activities, which are supported by a range of stakeholders (subcontractors, local businesses, promotion of regional purchasing, employment development, local communities), have created a sustainable ecosystem.
The rail transport mode is a response to environmental challenges, while positioning itself as a truly efficient and secure logistics solution.

Subsidiaries:

CAMRAIL

The 1,010-kilometre network linking Douala to Ngaoundéré in Cameroon is part of the corridor for opening up North Cameroon, Chad and the Central African Republic.

In 2022, Camrail transported more than 1.5 million tonnes of goods. In 2021, the launch of the "Express Train" connecting the country's two major cities, Douala and Yaoundé, helped to diversify the passenger offer with the introduction of first, premium and economy offers. More than 700,000 passengers used Camrail services.

SITARAIL

Nine hundred thousand tonnes of goods were transported in 2022 on the Sitarail network (1,155 kilometres of track), which links Abidjan (Côte d'Ivoire) and Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso).

Passenger activity, interrupted since 21 March 2020 following health measures taken by the States in the fight against Covid-19, did not resume in 2022.
